El Tequileno Platinum joins Cocktails in the City in partnership with 1910 Cantina, bringing one of Jalisco’s most respected tequila houses together with one of London’s most exciting modern Mexican restaurants. Founded in 1959 by Don Jorge Salles Cuervo, El Tequileno is known for its commitment to traditional production, using highland blue Weber agave, volcanic spring water and slow cooking to create a tequila that is clean, bright and unmistakably elegant. The Platinum expression is their flagship blanco, celebrated for its crisp citrus, soft pepper spice and silky texture that makes it a favourite among bartenders.
The partnership with 1910 Cantina feels like a natural fit. The Cantina team, who took part in the Mexican Collective in 2025, return to Cocktails in the City this August with their own standalone stand, bringing the warmth, energy and hospitality that have defined their restaurants in Balham and Parsons Green. Their July pop-up at Cocktails in the City was a major success, showcasing their food and proving London’s appetite for Mexican flavour delivered with real craft.
This year, the focus shifts to drinks. Working with El Tequileno Platinum, 1910 Cantina will be pouring serves that highlight the tequila’s purity, mineral freshness and subtle agave sweetness. It is a chance to meet the team, hear the story behind one of Jalisco’s most iconic tequila producers, and taste how 1910 Cantina brings that spirit to life through their agave-led bar program.
