Chilean Pisco

ProChile is set to showcase Chilean Pisco at Cocktails in the City this summer, partnering with Mareida to introduce London’s drinks-savvy consumers to one of Chile’s most culturally significant spirits.

Chile produces an impressive 35 million litres of Pisco annually, yet 95% of it is consumed domestically, reflecting its deep-rooted importance in Chilean culture. By bringing this vibrant spirit to Cocktails in the City—a festival designed to encourage visitors to try something new and discover something different—ProChile aims to expand Pisco’s presence in the UK, inspiring bartenders and drink enthusiasts alike to explore its versatility.

Chilean Pisco is crafted from select grape varieties grown in the northern regions of Atacama and Coquimbo, where cold nights and abundant sunshine create intensely aromatic and flavourful spirits. With its Designation of Origin established in 1931, Chilean Pisco is recognised for its meticulous craftsmanship, making it a standout ingredient for both classic and contemporary cocktails.

Mareida, a Fitzrovia-based restaurant dedicated to celebrating the flavours of the Andean South, is the ideal partner for this initiative. With a commitment to authenticity and a carefully curated menu, Mareida will present bespoke cocktails showcasing Chilean Pisco’s floral, fruity, and complex profiles, giving Londoners a true taste of Chile’s drinking culture.

Chilean Pisco distinguishes itself from other spirits through its carefully controlled production methods, distinctive grape selection, and strict regulatory standards. Unlike traditional brandies, which often originate from pomace or wine, Chilean Pisco is crafted directly from freshly pressed grape juice, resulting in a spirit that is naturally vibrant, aromatic, and fruit-forward. The combination of handpicked grape varieties and precise distillation techniques gives Chilean Pisco a refined complexity that sets it apart in the world of spirits

Cocktails in the City provides the perfect stage for ProChile to introduce consumers to Pisco beyond its homeland. Whether enjoyed in a Pisco Sour or an inventive new creation, this showcase is set to spark curiosity and appreciation for one of Chile’s most treasured spirits.

See you at the bar.
