Goalong Spirits Group, the pioneer of Chinese whisky, established the Goalong Distillery in Liuyang, Hunan. This distillery is China’s largest single malt whisky producer.
Located in the mountainous Hunan province of south-central China, Goalong distillery has produced the first-ever Chinese whiskies available outside of China, including a softly smoky blended whiskey and a duo of five year old single malts – one matured solely in ex-bourbon casks and the other in ex- bourbon and ex-brandy casks.
Goalong Distillery uses domestically designed and manufactured equipment for distillation. Their commitment to creating Chinese whisky led them to choose entirely domestic solutions. Imported barley is malted in domestic malting plants, ensuring quality while supporting local resources.
The distillery initially chose two styles—Speyside whisky and the style of Japanese whisky. They carefully selected equipment to achieve the desired flavors, considering various chemical reactions during production.
The range includes three whiskies and one botanical gin.

Goalong 5 Year Old Bourbon & Brandy Cask Single Malt Chinese Whiskey is a five year old single malt which is is matured in ex-bourbon and ex-brandy casks and has aromas of jasmine, malt and vanilla on the nose with candied citrus, sandalwood and raisin on the palate.
Goalong 5 Year Old Bourbon Cask Single Malt Chinese Whiskey is matured for five years in ex- bourbon casks. The temperature variance of the region has accelerated the ageing process and brings complex aromas of hazelnut and honey on the nose, with cinnamon, toffee on the finish.
Goalong Blended Chinese Whiskey uses a combination of grains matured in oak barrels. It is creamy in texture and has aromas of hazelnut, apple and toffee on the nose, with malt, honey and baking spice on the palate.
Goalong Botanical Gin is produced from corn and distilled with 20 Chinese herbs and spices including green tea, coriander seeds, cinnamon and Sichuan pepper. This is a one-of-a-kind gin that will shine in your next Martini.
