Don Papa Rum

Don Papa Rum, a premium spirit that celebrates the essence of the Philippines. From its inception in 2012, Don Papa has swiftly ascended to success, captivating the hearts and palates of rum enthusiasts worldwide.

Don Papa Rum is produced with a molasses base from an old strain of sugar cane, often referred to as “black gold.” The finest sugarcane grown in the fertile lands of the Philippines is carefully selected and pressed to extract the sweet juice. This juice is then fermented using a special strain of yeast, contributing to the unique flavors found in Don Papa rum. The fermented molasses is aged a minimum of seven years in casks, allowing the flavors to develop and mature.

Papa Isio: The moniker “Don Papa” pays homage to the esteemed activist Dionisio Magbuelas, fondly remembered as Papa Isio. A revered figure in the annals of the Philippine Revolution, Papa Isio’s spirit and leadership were pivotal in liberating the island of Negros.

Don Papa remains deeply rooted in its rich Filipino heritage. It champions local artists, farmers, and conservation efforts in the rum-making process and actively contributes to the sustainable development of the regions that inspire its essence. Strategic partnerships with organizations like the Talarak Foundation and the Philippine Reef and Rainforest Conservation Foundation ensure the preservation of the lush landscapes and diverse flora and fauna of Negros Occidental.

In every sweet sip of Don Papa Rum, one can savour the spirit of the Philippines—a harmonious blend of tradition, innovation, and natural beauty.
